Coleman Pleased With Clean Sheet

Despite the 0-0 scoreline at the Cottage both sides carved out a number of goalscoring opportunities but found goalkeepers Dean Kiely and Edwin van der Sar in top form.

"We cannot criticise our guys for the effort we showed but we needed a bit more guile and we didn't create enough chances," Coleman said after the game.

"We have to take the positives out of the game which was a clean sheet against a very strong Charlton side.

"Also we had Steed Malbranque back and it looked like if we were going to do anything it would come through him."
