"Attacking wise our final pass was poor and we didn't create anything," the Cottagers boss said after the game.
"That is disappointing because we knew Spurs do concede goals and we didn't bother them at all. We are better than that.
"My two central defenders played really well and you expect our keeper to deal with the free-kick which Kanoute scored from.
"He is devastated in the dressing room and should deal with that kind of free-kick. We should have got a draw from the game.
"Edwin thinks he set up the wall wrong and he would normally have dealt with that all day. It wasn't a great free-kick and if he took it ten times again, he would have probably saved it.
"The formation we play got us ninth last season and a quarter-final in the cup last season. We can still look at the top ten. In the last 13 games we have only lost three."
