"I learnt a lot there, the football was totally different of course, very direct and physical, and you obviously get kicked about a lot," he told the clubs official website.
"I played in two derby games, against Bradford City and Barnsley, and there are always a few rucks in those.
"You don't get much time on the ball and you get closed down very quickly. There are a lot of tackles and flick-ons to win, and once you get the ball you have to get it forward. It's a very direct style of football.
"It was a good experience to see the other side of things, to see what the other divisions are like.
"It's hard to match the training facilities here at Fulham, but Hillsborough's a big ground and the fans were very good to me - I can't say a bad word about them, they were brilliant.
"I went to Wednesday because I wasn't in the first team here, but now I'm back I'll be working hard and aiming to get back in the side."
