The USA international midfielder was granted granted a work permit on Wednesday and has completed a reported £2million move to Craven Cottage.

"I've got the green light to go ahead. I've been waiting a long time and this move is a dream come true," Dempsey said on Wednesday.

"It goes to show hard work pays off and now I'm looking forward to putting on the Fulham jersey."
