Mark Hughes is expected to bring in new players to put his stamp on the team which leaves uncertainty as to where the current players, such as Gera, stand.
Gera has a year left on his current contract and talks over a new deal have not yet taken place which has alerted a lot of clubs to his possible availability.
Clubs that have supposedly expressed interest in the Hungarian are Liverpool and Sunderland.
Also, the German side, Werder Bremen, are thought to be tracking the Fulham star, who scored a hat-trick against the German club in Saturday's pre-season friendly.
