Eriksson told the club's official website: "Diomansy is a quality striker and will be a great addition to our team.
"He brings with him pace, good technical ability and Premier League quality. I am sure he will settle in well and be an exciting player for the club."
Kamara made his name in English football at West Brom, scoring 23 goals that led the Baggies into the Championship play-offs in 2007, before making a £6m move to Craven Cottage where he has scored 18 times in 68 appearances.
