Recent media speculation has been linking the French midfielder with a move to either Southampton and Aston Villa but Coleman has assured fans that he will not be sold in the new year.
"Steed signed a new contract with us last season, so he's still got a lot of time left," said the Fulham boss.
"I know he has been linked with Villa and Southampton but with all due respect, I don't know why he'd want to go there.
"He's playing football and he's not knocking on my door asking to leave.
"He's got a long contract; it would cost a lot of money for him to leave."
