The goalkeeper has started only twice in the Barclays Premier League but has proven his ability and confidence to succeed Mark Schwarzer as the club's No. 1 with a clean sheet in Saturday's 0-0 draw against Bolton.
It wasn't an easy game either with Stockdale making two excellent saves to keep the game at a goaless tie.
Stockdale said, 'I'd love to get a run in the team and show people what I can do. It's taken two years to get to this point'.
