After several years of neglect, EA Sports have finally treated FIFA Career Mode fans to some much needed improvements this year.
Interactive match sim gives wannabe managers more control than ever and there has also been considerable upgrades to the training, development and transfers systems.
Thanks to all of this, FIFA 21 is set to feature the best iteration of Career Mode in some time. The question is, which teams are going to be lucky enough to benefit from your considerable managerial talents? If you're struggling to decide, check out our list of recommendations below.
1. Red Star FC
Taking over Red Star FC on FIFA 21 is an exciting prospect.
First, there's the chance to end Paris Saint-Germain's stranglehold over French football.
Second, it's a club with a rich history. Red Star were founded in 1897 by Jules Rimet, who would later serve as president before lending his name to the World Cup trophy.
Third and most importantly, they've got a really nice kit. Just look at it. You'll never tire of watching your players walk out in that.
2. Fulham
Fulham have received a lot of stick since returning to the top flight. Quite rightly as well. They've been diabolical.
Keeping them in the Premier League will be quite a challenge on FIFA 21 but with Tony Kahn removed from the recruitment department, the Cottagers surely have a far better chance.
After you keep them up, why not try and replicate their run to the Europa League final? Just make sure you sign a few defenders first.
3. Harrogate Town
Road to glory challenges do not get harder than this...
At the time of release, lowly Harrogate Town were the worst ranked EFL team on FIFA 21. Taking them to the top flight will be a long term project, but what an achievement if you can get it done.
At least you'll start off with journeyman striker Jonathan Stead. He famously knows where the net is, managing one goal in 30 games for Sunderland during the 2005/06 Premier League season.
4. Manchester United
Manchester United are a mess. From top to bottom and left to right, every single aspect to the club's on-field approach is in dire need of improvement.
FIFA 21 offers you the chance to bring the good times back to Old Trafford. Winning a trophy would be a good start, but restoring the Red Devils' dynasty should be your end goal.
Maybe start off with signing Jadon Sancho? That seems like a good idea. Just pay whatever Borussia Dortmund want. You should probably bring in a few defenders as well.
5. Waterford FC
At the time of release, no team received a less flattering FIFA 21 rating than Waterford FC of the Republic of Ireland's SSE Airtricity League. You could really stick it the EA Sports by taking the Blues to the pinnacle of world football.
Attempting to win the Champions League with Waterford is not for the faint of heart. At least you start with a fairly young, exciting squad. No, really, you do.
6. Schalke
Schalke have always been an unpredictable club but of late they are seriously struggling. If things don't pick up, they could even go the way of fellow giants Hamburg and end up dropping out of the top flight altogether.
First on your shopping agenda has to be tightening up that leaky defence. Once you do that, Die Knappen should be an exciting team to play with.
Rabbi Matondo, Suat Serdar and Ozan Kabak are all cracking young players to build around. Alternatively, you could cash in on them to bolster your transfer kitty.
7. Milan
After a strange few years in the footballing wilderness, Milan are finally a team on the up. All they need is an up and coming manager to come in and complete the job. No offence Stefano Pioli.
Gianluigi Donnarumma, Theo Hernandez and Sandro Tonali are all incredible assets to have and that is merely scratching the surface of the Rossoneri's extensive pool of young talent.
Juventus better watch out...
8. Bolton Wanderers
Bolton Wanderers was once home to some truly joyous footballers, including Jay-Jay Okocha, Fernando Hierro and Ivan Campo.
These days, the Trotters are plying their trade in League Two. That just doesn't seem right.
Trying to return Bolton to their former glory is a no brainer. It's just a shame that FIFA 21 kits never change. That Home Bargain sponsored monstrosity really isn't very nice.
9. Barcelona
Barcelona were lurching from one crisis to the next all summer long and their squad has been decimated by several high profile departures.
Despite all this, expectations remain sky high...this is Barça after all.
What the Blaugrana need is a firm hand on the tiller to guide them through these choppy waters. If you think you're up to the task, you should take your talents to Camp Nou on FIFA 21.
10. Inter Miami
The David Beckham backed MLS franchise Inter Miami are making their very first FIFA appearance this year.
Why not mark the occasion by leading Gonzalo Higuain and co to the title in their maiden season?
The Herons also start with a sizeable budget. This means that if Higuain and Blaise Matuidi are not good enough for you, there's plenty of room to manoeuvre in the transfer market.
