Villa confirm Delaney bid

Manager Chris Coleman was keen to bring his former Wales international colleague to Loftus Road as replacement for Steve Finnan but the Midlands side have turned down his undisclosed offer.

"We can confirm that Fulham did make a bid for Mark Delaney, but that offer was rejected out of hand," a spokesman told Villa's official website.
