Boa Morte scored either side of half time to push the Cottagers up to fourth in the table and deal another blow to the critics who predicted them to suffer a relegation battle.
Opponents Leicester are experiencing opposite feelings however as they were sent reeling into the bottom three.
Fulham may be proving their critics wrong - but Leicester are proving theirs right.
Boss Micky Adams admitted: "I've got players in my dressing room who will give there all but we don't have the flair that Fulham have.
"At the moment our critics are right. People didn't give us a prayer before the season and we are proving them right."
After a drab opening half-an-hour the match finally came to life as Boa Morte put Fulham in the lead.
The winger was lucky to still be on the pitch after he appeared to kick out at Frank Sinclair minutes earlier.
But he managed to steer home Lee Clark's cross after some good work by Steed Malbranque.
Five minutes before half time referee Chris Foy handed Fulham a chance to double their lead as he pointed to the penalty spot after Gerry Taggart was found guilty of pulling Louis Saha's shirt.
After a brief argument over who would take the kick Malbranque stepped up - and Ian Walker pulled off a save to his left-hand side.
The Leicester keeper produced the save of the game minutes later as he managed to tip Junichi Inamoto's deflected shot over the bar.
Boa Morte sealed the win on 72 minutes as he finished when one-on-one with Walker to leave Fulham boss Coleman delighted.
