A stunning burst of three goals in five minutes gave Fulham their best Premiership win since the opening day of the season and pushed West Bromwich Albion into deeper relegation trouble.
There was little sign of the fireworks to come in a hard-fought first half in which Fulham had most of the play but West Brom had the best chances.
Striker Lee Hughes will wonder how he managed to miss two great chances only to be denied by excellent saves from Mike Taylor.
Fulham began the second half in a rush and outstanding Albion goalkeeper Russell Hoult made two good saves from Steed Malbranque.
But he was beaten in the 71st minute when Malbranque curled in a cross from the left and Louis Saha scored with a diving header.
Albion almost equalised immediately only for Taylor to make a splendid diving save from Danny Dichio.
But when Steve Marlet was brought down by Albion captain Sean Gregan, Malbranque tapped a short free-kick for Pierre Wome to hammer a 25 yard drive high into the Albion net.
Albion who claimed their first points of the season beating Fulham 1-0 back in August, looked totally shocked and it was all over within minutes when Neil Clement bundled over Saha in the area and Malbranque continued his recent scoring run by drilling home the penalty.
